“It’s my belief that all great wines are an ode to teamwork. The wine in the glass is the apex of each season’s fruitful collaboration—hands on the vines, boots in the soil, and a team of voices carrying throughout the cellar.”

Tuck Beckstoffer

The Next Generation

As we look toward the future of farming, winemaking, and hospitality at the Estate, we have taken a thoughtful approach to building a peerless team that will continue to create excellence, innovate on past traditions, and capture attention. We understand that true pioneering is always looking forward—fully enabling the next generation to take the reins as they make their own discoveries and forge new pathways along the way.

It’s this forward momentum that has allowed our team at the Estate to step into leadership, a transition driven by our quest for excellence on all levels. Led by lead winemaker, Shawn Johnson, the Estate team will thoughtfully iterate on the same vision that we’ve had since the beginning: to start with the land, ripe with story and possibility. After working side-by-side with Tuck and Philippe Melka for many years, Shawn brings a curiosity and fresh perspective that will only serve to further this longstanding vision.

Another foundational belief—that great wines deserve great experiences—led to another transition at the Estate. We invited Nathaniel Dorn, renowned for his expertise in creating exceptional teams and experiences, to join our team, where he leads us forward in our commitment to a culture of true service and awe.

In all of this, we remain indebted to the roots that once grew here. This is still the Napa Valley of Tuck’s youth—built and farmed on dirt roads by unrelenting pioneers with an eye toward the future.
